Hello and welcome to our site, which is dedicated to East European Shepherd dogs in Latvia.

Ever since I was a child, I have dreamed of having a Shepherd dog, a big, strong and loyal friend. Unfortunately, my parents did not support me in this goal and I was not able to realize my dream until I grew up.

My first Shepherd, Groznij Iz Ksaro Chestnaya Igra, came to me from a very well known kennel named Iz Ksaro Chestnaya Igra, located in Moscow, Russia.

Groznij is an amazing dog, very smart and diligent. He never receives less than an, ”Excellent” evaluation from his instructors. Groznij has participated in many different sporting events for dogs and has won numerous awards. Groznij is an admirable memeber of his breed, with flawless anatomical features and grey coloring, which is very rare for Shepherds in Latvia. In fact, Groznij is the only grey colored East European Shepherd presently in Latvia. This incredible dog forever changed the course of my life and inspired my ongoing interest in Cynology.

In 2009, I concluded courses in Cynology and earned a Cynologist’s diploma (FCI). Later that same year, we obtained another fine example of this breed from the same kennel, Evropa-Prima Iz Ksaro Chestnaya Igra. This new dog loves to be with people and has a strong desire for work and learning. It is she who has helped familiarize me with the various methods of training and opened my mind to the wonderful world of communication between canines and humans.

Evropa-Prima has participated many times in sports competitions. She always receives high marks in her instructor evaluations and complimentary referrals from the judges. Moreover, she has great bearing and the conformation of a true East European Shepherd.

Groznij and Evropa-Prima are the marvelous result of patient and tireless work by Jekaterina Miheeva, the breeder and manager at Iz Ksaro chestnaya Igra kennel. These dogs are the outcome of careful selection from the best East European Shepherd lines. They are beautiful, large dogs with exquisite symmetry, noble temperment, great health and award-winning performance. They are truely worthy representatives of their breed.

Now, when I look at my dogs, I can say with confidence, ”Yes! This is exactly the Shepherd I have been dreaming of since I was a child!”
